FOODS THAT HELPS BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

Feeding the body with some foods will keep your body and immune system strong – the body will be resistant to some diseases (of course not all). There are also foods out there that are capable of healing flu or a mild form of cold. It is not difficult- when keeping the body healthy becomes a top priority, going to the grocery should not be a big deal.

CITRUS FRUITS
Many people find themselves in the succor of Vitamin C especially the whites when they catch a cold. This is because it helps to build up the immune system. Vitamin C is believed to increase the number of white blood cells. Daily Vitamin C is essential for good health. It is easy to add a squeeze of this Vitamin to any meal plan. Citrus is the key to fighting infections and diseases. Examples of citrus fruits include grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, lemons, limes.

RED BELL PEPPERS
Commonly known to Nigerians as tatase, gram red bell peppers contain two times vitamin C as citrus. They are also a rich source of beta carotene. Besides improving the immune system, vitamin C helps to maintain healthy skin. Beta carotene is good for the eyes and skin also.

GARLIC
Garlic is used in almost every part of the world. It adds a little zest to foods. It is a must-have for the health. Early civilizations around the globe especially in Egypt and Greece discovered its use in fighting infections. Garlic also helps to lower blood pressure and halts hardening of the arteries. Garlic’s immune-boosting properties are evident in sulphur-containing compounds such as allicin.

GINGER
Ginger is another ingredient we should turn to after falling ill. Ginger may help decrease inflammation, sore throat and nausea. Ginger also helps to decrease chronic pain and possess cholesterol-lowering properties.

YOUGHURT
Active cultures in some yogurts stimulate the immune system to help fight diseases. Once in a while, it is okay to get plain yoghurts rather than the ones flavoured with sugar. One can sweeten plain yoghurts with healthy fruits instead. Yoghurt is a great source of Vitamin D. So, when picking yoghurts, it is advisable to get for the ones fortified with Vitamin D. Vitamin D helps regulate the immune system and boosts the body’s natural defenses against diseases.

GREEN TEA
Green tea is fast becoming a Nigerian family’s top consumption at breakfast. Both green and black teas are stuffed with flavonoids, a type of antioxidant. Green tea contains epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG, a powerful antioxidant. It enhances immune function.

PAWPAW
Papaya is another fruit loaded with Vitamin C. Do you know one can find 224% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin C in a single papaya? Pawpaw has a digestive enzyme called papain that has anti-inflammatory qualities. Pawpaw also has a little amount of potassium, B vitamins and folate. All these mentioned are important to health.

CHICKEN
Chicken peppersoup is good for eating when cold appears. It will stop further complications that ensue. Chicken and turkey are high in vitamin B-6. It is also vital to the production of red blood cells. Boiled chicken bones contain gelatin, chondroitin and other nutrients that help abdominal healing and increases immunity.

DETAILED EXPLANATION OF MENSTRUAL CIRCLE AND OVULATION PERIOD

Most girls don't understand this because of much heavy grammar used to teach it, and we don't listen to our body too. I read, I started listening to my body for signs and I arrived at the simple analysis/steps........
MENSTRUAL PERIOD:The time blood flows out of your private area, when you use pad.
MENSTRUAL CYCLE: Days it takes to see another blood in the month. If you last saw your period in June 11th and it started again on July 10th 2017, then you have 30days cycle (count from 11 June to 10 July).
NOTE: It is erroneous to believe its 28days cycle, different women have different cycles ranging from 21-35 days.
OVULATION PERIOD: This is time to get pregnant without stress. This is 2 weeks after your period or 2 weeks before the next period.
Here's a simple way to calculate your ovulation (unsafe) period.
1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.
2. Pick up a calendar and count 15 days including the first day of the blood stain.
3. Mark the 15th day with a pen.
4. Mark 3 days before the 15th day, and mark 3 days after the 15th day.
6. You will notice you have 7 days marked.
These 7 days are your ovulation/fertile days also known as unsafe period.
That is if you have sex on any of these days, then you have 98% chances of being pregnant.
7. Do this every month diligently
EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD.
For example:
1. If your period is 11th July, 2017,
2. 15 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 25th of this July too (2weeks after) counting from 11th.
3. 15th day is on the 25th July 2017.
4. 3days before the 15th day is 22, 23, 24.
5. 3days after 25th July 2017 is 26,27,28.
6. 22-28th July (7days) is when you are ovulating. It is your fertile period.
**Don't forget that the 7 days is a reminder that sperm stays in the female body for about 7 days. Any sexual contact in between ovulation period will form something that has ears, eyes, etc.
ALSO......
If you want a baby girl, have
sex between 3 days before ovulation (22- 24th) 2017.
For a baby boy on the main ovulation day and 3 days after 25th.
...........
MAJOR SIGNS THAT YOUR OVULATION HAS BEGAN...
You don't need a doctor, just relax. After 2 weeks you may feel the following:
1. Headache.
2. High body temperature.
3. Dizziness (feeling of tiredness and sleepiness).
4. Breast tenderness/ size increases just like when you are menstruating.
5. Increased sex drive.
6. Light cramps or pain on one side of the pelvis.
7. Abdominal bloating.
8. Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more).
9. Vagina mucus becomes slippery (if you notice, put it in between fingers...it stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus...colorless like egg white.
...........
N/B: The instance here is for ladies with 30 days cycle. And someone who saw her period in July 2017. If yours is 28, then it's 14 days and not 15 days.
**
If you have headache without a cause, check back to when your period started. You can drink both malt and peak milk....don't run to the pharmacist always on issues that can be naturally handled, because drugs are not always good on girls. Or you can take only paracetamol.
MEN, read and educate your wives and sisters, most don't know this.

HOW TO AVOID YOUR ATM CARD FROM GETTING TRAPPED BY AN ATM

A handful of us have been victims of our ATM cards being seized by the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and when this happens, it leaves us devastated, disappointed and even atimes frustrated. Have we been curious to really know the reason why this is so? This thread will try to give us highlights of some possible causes and enlighten us to properly use the ATM when next we visit.

I would also call on Professionals in the banking sector to add to these points being highlighted so that we too can learn. Before I will start, let's have a brief Introduction about the ATM. Some of the points were culled from the internet.

An ATM (Automated Teller Machine) which is also called by some other names like ABM (Automated Banking Machine), Cash Machine or Cash Point is a self-help electronic banking device which is networked with financial institutions and performs financial transactions for clients. Modern ATMs can perform a variety of functions including cash withdrawal, cash transfer, cash deposit, utility bills payment, balance inquiry, obtaining the bank statement etc.
Despite of all the advantages, ATM cards, Debit cards or Credit cards which are used at ATMs may get swallowed or seized by the machine. There could be several possible reasons for this trouble which I have discussed below.

1- Inserting The Card Wrongly

There is a way to insert the card in ATM. You can find an arrow on one side of the card which indicates in which direction you have to push it into the card inlet of ATM. But if you do not do it that way, ATM might fail to read your card and swallow it instead of returning it.

2- Having No Balance or Insufficient Balance in the Account:

Some ATMs are configured to hold your debit card or ATM card if you have no balance or insufficient balance in your bank account. That is an unfair policy to hold your card for that reason but it’s happening.

3- Using a Faulty or Broken Card:

Every card has the name of account holder written on it plus a magnetic strip on the back which carries necessary details which is machine readable only. If for some reason the name or magnetic strip fades away, the ATM will not be able to read the card and might hold it. Same is true in case of using broken or bent card. It might get stuck inside.

4- Using a Card in Wrong ATM:

An ATM is configured to support certain services like Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Maestro, American Express etc. If you insert a card into such an ATM which does not display the logo of your service, your card might be eaten by the machine.

5- Using an Expired Card:

This is a big issue about which people do not care. If the card has crossed the expiry date, the card becomes useless. Putting that into the cash machine might get swallowed by it.

6- Using a Blocked Card

If you lost your card, blocked it and later recovered it but didn’t unblock it or your card was blocked by the provider due to the violation of any term, using such blocked card will alert the ATM and it will simply eat up your card.

7- Use of Reported Card

A stolen card must be reported immediately. Such cards become useless even if you recover them. Using such cards will result into alerting the cash machine and holding your card.

8- Out of Order ATM

This is one of the biggest issue which can create troubles for users. An out of order machine can swallow your card instead of returning it. The major cause for this problem could be the failure of any mechanical or electronic part inside the machine.

9- Entering PIN Erroneously Several Times

When you use your card at an ATM, you have to enter the PIN before proceeding to services menu page. If you have forgotten the actual PIN and enter it erroneously several times, ATM will hold your card considering it a stolen card or a theft attempt. Sometimes, mistakenly entering wrong PIN more than once can result into the same.

Conclusion:

I hope I have been able to educated you on how to avoid your ATM card from being seized which can be frustrating and disappointing especially when you are in need of urgent cash.

SIGNS TO KNOW YOU ARE DRINKING TOO MUCH ALCOHOL

There is absolutely nothing wrong with desiring to end the day, especially since it is Friday, by downing several bottles of your preferred drink. The problem here is when you become attached to alcohol. This is called addiction. As such, here are some obvious signs you are drinking too much.

You need alcohol to feel confident
The truth is the higher the amount of alcohol you drink, the higher your self-confidence. Sadly, this intoxicated courage and confidence can be quickly replaced with the fear of the actions that show that you are under the influence.

You abandon your responsibilities to drink
One sure sign that your drinking is becoming a problem is when you begin to leave your responsibilities at work or home to drink. Additionally, you call in sick repeatedly because of a hangover. You may have a drinking problem.

You self-medicate
Your alcoholic problems can result in self-medication because your life is tied to the bottle. If you find yourself reaching for a drink when you start feeling down, it may be time to take a look at the causes behind your feelings instead of covering them up.

People close to you are concerned
When your relationship with those close to you gets affected because of your drinking, there is a problem. Those close to you may have commented about your drinking too much to the level that you begin to hide your drinking problems. This is a red flag.

You have accepted your alcoholism
If you have a problem with alcohol, you will become very comfortable with it, You no longer feel embarrassed with your drinking. As this tolerance increases, you will soon see alcohol as your solution for everything.

Your life is all about alcohol
If you always have the feeling that any activity you engage in must include alcohol, this could be a sign that you'have become dependent on alcohol. The more you drink, the more your blood pressure rises.

MEET JACOB ODULATE, THE MAN BEHIND THE POPULAR ALABUKUN POWDER

The Alabukun drug has been a very popular medication in different parts of the country although few people have wondered how it came into being and the brain behind it. The drug has become a ubiquitous one that for some, it is the first point of call for any kind of ailment. It is also relatively cheap and handy making it affordable for consumers.
How Alabukun became very popular in Nigeria and The man behind the it:
Jacob Sogboyega Odulate who was born in 1884 in Ikorodu Lagos created what later became the legendary Alabukun drug in 1918. According to report, Odulate at age 14 trekked from Lagos to Abeokuta for three months where he later established his pharmaceutical invention.
The production of the Alabukun drug:
In 1918 when Nigeria was still under serious colonial rule, Odulate with the help of his wife and children go to work at his laboratory and workshop at Sapon in Abeokuta. Most of its ingredients came from Liverpool and includes acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine as its active ingredients. “A packet contains 760 mg of acetylsalicylic acid and 60 mg of caffeine making a total of 820 mg.”
The drug became popular among those who preferred local medication to the European one because the powdery form of the Alabukun drug resembled traditional method of drug making which involved grinding the bark of trees into a powdery form. For others, Alabukun was a bridge between the traditional medication and the drugs introduced by the colonialist and was therefore easy to embrace by consumers.
CURE
Alabukun has been fondly referred to as “gbogbonise” especially by Yoruba-speaking Nigerians which literally translates to “a drug that cures all ailment.” This is because it is believed that it has the power to treat different illness especially pain, cold, headache and feverishness.
Why Alabukun is not advertise:
Although very popular, Alabukun has found a way into the heart of Nigerians without being advertise. According to report, the drug was spread by word of mouth while drug shops were encouraged to recommend it as a treatment for cold and headache. The feedback was that it worked very fast and being cheap, it soon gained steady rise and popularity. From there, it spread quickly from the south west to other part of Nigeria and then to Benin Republic.
How Alabukun became very popular in Nigeria:
So why is this drug not being advertise even more than 100 years after it was produced?
The first report is that the quick popularity of the drug provided Odulate with a strong sense of assurance that there was no need for it. By the time the popularity of Alabukun spread, demand for it rose from consumers.
Besides that, it was reported that the composition of the drug made it impossible for it to be placed for advertisement as that would have forced it to be put out of market especially from pharmacists.
Even without the opportunity of being placed for advertisement and under the reprehensible colonialist government, Alabukun soared making it one of the most popular and oldest indigenous drugs in the country.

DO'S AND DONT'S WHEN YOUR PHONE DROPS IN WATER

Any smart phone user or owner out there would agree that one of the most dreaded place(s) to hold and operate a smartphone anywhere in the world is that place with large volume of water; particularly if you don’t own a waterproof or water - resistant device.

Surely, an average smartphone user would have, one way or the other, had their smartphone drop in water. Could be swimming pools, drainage system, the kitchen sink, the toilet water closet, in the shower, at the beach, or could even be rain.

There are really numerous routes via which your phone can get wet.
Thanks to the emergence and upsurge of waterproof and water- resistant devices (yes, there really is a difference) like the Homtom HT20, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, Ulefone Armor 2, LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S7, Homtom HT20 Pro, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4, etc,.

People have had to worry less about being overly careful when handling their devices near water .bodies as they can just dip their hands into the water, remove their device, wipe it dry and they're good to go.

However, for individuals without a waterproof device, you can do the following below to revive your smart phone back to life after the drowning experience.

WHAT TO DO:
1. Firstly, whenever your smartphone drops in water, you must “quickly” remove the device out of whatever water it falls into, be it toilet water filled with urine. The faster you remove the device out of the water body, the higher its chances of survival. Reverse will be the case when you stand still, staring at your smartphone (or soon-to-be former smartphone) in awe before finally deciding to remove it after 5 minutes.

2. If the phone has a removable battery, the next best bet is to remove the battery.

3. If your device’s battery is non-removable, make sure you switch the device off as soon as it is out of water.

4. Afterwards, remove all other components that are removable. E.g SIM cards, SD card, back cover.

5. If you happen to know your way around disassembling a smartphone, you can go ahead and rip out every single part of the device carefully as this will hasten the drying up process. But if you aren't tech savvy and do not have the tools or know how to disassemble your device, skip this step and proceed to step 6.

6. Remove water on the surface with a dry cloth or preferably a towel. While doing this, be sure not to press any button or shake the device. This is to avoid the water from moving deeper into the phone.

7. Next step is to leave the smartphone to dry out for a relatively long period of time. Basically, the idea here is to put the device in an environment that will support its drying off.

A common practice is to dip the smartphone in a bag full of rice for 2-5 days. Rice is an effective moisture absorber, so it dries out the water in the smartphone quicker than leaving it on the shelves to dry.

WHAT NOT TO DO
When you have a smartphone drop in water, do not do the following as you could permanently damage your device.
1. Do not turn on the device immediately after removing it from water.
2. Do not, for any reason, plug the device to a power source.
3. Do not push any keys or button. You risk pushing water further into your device
4. Do not shake or blow air into the device. This also could push water into your device.
5. Do not apply any heat to the phone as excessive heat can do further damage to the phone.

The Lagos State Government has announced that there will be diversion of traffic along the outer Marina between 6a.m and 2p.m on Sunday 9th July to allow the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) install some equipment for the Light Rail project.

A release by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, stated that the diversion is to facilitate the safe location of the mobile crane needed to launch the bailey beams for the ongoing Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line Project.

5 YEARS OLD GIRL IMPREGNATED, BECOMES THE YOUNGEST MOTHER

Lina Medina was born in Ticrapo, Peru. At the age of five years, Lina was brought to hospital by her parents who complained of abdominal extreme growth. The girl’s parents initially thought their daughter was suffering from a massive abdominal tumor, but after being examined by doctors in Pisco, Peru, they discovered she was seven-months pregnant.

Dr. Geraldo Lozada became Lina’s attending doctor, fully taking over the case. Dr. Lozada took Lina to a more advanced hospital in Lima to confirm the pregnancy diagnosis. The diagnosis was confirmed. Lina was born with a rare condition called “precocious puberty”. Precocious puberty is basically the early onset of sexual development. Most girls begin experiencing puberty around the age of ten (boys usually start a little later, around the ages of 11 or 12). Lina had experienced her first menstrual cycle at the age of two and a half or three. She had fully developed breasts by the age of four. Within five years, her body displayed pelvic widening and advanced bone maturation.

Lina Medina officially became the youngest confirmed mother in medical history, aged five, seven months and 21 days. She gave birth to a boy by a caesarean section on May 14, 1939, necessitated by her small pelvis. The surgery was performed by Lozada and Dr. Busalleu, with Dr. Colareta providing anaesthesia. The child, weighing 2,700 grams (6 pounds), was well-formed, in good health and was named Gerardo after the doctor who delivered him. Child and mother were able to leave the clinic after only a few days..

As might be expected, sexual abuse was immediately considered. The father of Lina was arrested on suspicion of rape and incest. He was released due to lack of evidence. Lina Medina never revealed who the real father of her child is, or the circumstances surrounding its impregnation. According to a 1955 article reviewing the case: “some have pointed out, there were frequent festivities celebrated by the Indians in the Andean villages like the one where Lina was born. These often ended in orgies where rape was not uncommon”

Throughout the years, many people have called her story a complete hoax, however, a number of doctors over the years have verified it based on biopsies, X rays of the fetal skeleton in utero, and photographs taken by the doctors caring for her.

Lina Media is the world’s youngest documented mother in medical history. At the time of delivery, she was 5 years, 7 months and 17 days old.

Gerardo grew up thinking that his mother was his sister.

Gerardo was raised believing that Medina was his sister, but found out at the age of 10 that she was his mother. He led a healthy life until 1979, when he died from bone marrow disease at the age of 40. In young adulthood, Medina worked as a secretary in the Lima clinic of Dr. Lozada, who gave her an education and helped put her son through high school. Medina later married Raúl Jurado and in 1972 had a second son, 33 years after her first. Lina Medina is alive today, but refuses to give interviews.

NOUN STUDENTS NOW ELIGIBLE FOR LAW SCHOOL AND NYSC

The Senate has passed an amendment to the law establishing the National Open University, which will make graduates of the institution eligible for mobilisation by the National Youth Service Corps and to attend the Nigerian Law School.

The passage followed the adoption of a report by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFund on the ‘Bill for An Act to Amend the National Open University Act Cap N6 LFN 1983 (Amendment) Bill 2017’ by the lawmakers at the plenary on Thursday.

In the report, the Senate panel stated that the amendment to the National Open University of Nigeria Act was to bring the institution at par with the regular universities in the country.
The report said, “The objectives of the bill are as follows: firstly, to amend the existing legislation with a view to removing the perception of the public about the university in respect of the word ‘correspondence,’ which gives the impression that the university is not a full-time university and, as such, seen as part-time.

“These two concepts – correspondence and part-time – significantly affect the way the public views the programs run by the university. This has been the reason why the Law graduates of the school are not admitted into the Nigerian Law School as well as the reason for the non-inclusion of the graduates of the university into the National Youth Service Corps scheme.

“Secondly, to include lnformation and Communication Technology as another means of providing tuition towards the advancement of learning throughout Nigeria. The National Open University, as currently run, depends critically on virtual learning and students’ individual research, hence, the need for improvement and introduction of helpful learning tools as presented by lCT. This will further deal with the challenge of limited access in the tertiary education sector.”

GOVERNOR AMBODE TO BADOO GROUP, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

The governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, has assured residents that the government would stop the activities of the notorious cult group called ‘Badoo’ in the Ikorodu axis of the state.
The governor made this known at the commissioning of a rehabilitated fire service station in Epe and also promised to ensure the safe return of students kidnapped some weeks ago.
“I am deeply concerned about the issue of kidnapping in the state and also the recent development that has been happening in Ikorodu about mob action, as well as that of Badoo.

“I just want to assure residents that we are doing everything possible. We don’t run the government on the pages of the newspapers, and that is why you see that we do not make comments in the newspapers,’’ Ambode said. He charged traditional rulers, especially those in Ikorodu, to wake up from their slumber by helping the government to put a stop to the rising menace of Badoo.

According to the governor, intelligence reports had it that some of the Baales colluded with kidnappers to kidnap people in remote areas. “We have intelligence here that some of these things are coming from within and our Kabiyesis and Obas need to do something as quickly as possible to arrest the decadence.

“As far as the Badoo case is concerned, I do not believe that it has anything to do with a disappearing ghost. “I don’t also believe that the rituals can be taking place, without some people not being behind it. “So, I challenge all our Kabiyesis, traditional rulers and Baales; we must arrest this situation as quickly as possible,’’ Ambode said.

TIPS ON HOW TO AVOID BEING MISTAKEN AS BADOO CULT MEMBER IN IKORODU

It is no more a news that residents of Ikorodu are now taking laws into their hands in the quest for the eradication of the dreaded badoo gangs, thereby lynching a few innocents souls. This write up is just to guide you so you won't get lynched after been mistaken as badoo..

1. Always Go Out With Your Identity Card: If you stay in Ikorodu or you are going to Ikorodu and your employer still haven't given you your ID card.. Please, Protest cos it might come in handy in case of 'gobe'.

2. Do Not Go Around Carrying Silly hairstyle or flaunting your weird tattoo : If you have a weird haircut or a tattoo with an inscription 'badoo' just to honor the popular Nigerian musician or you are the type that flaunts your weird tattoo to claim big boy, I will advice you stay clear of Ikorodu for now before you end up becoming "asun".

3. Do Not Dress Indecently: For the sake of your loved ones, those of you in Ikorodu that still sag your trousers, please, travel outside Ikorodu to sag cos you might be walking down the road one day and you will hear someone shout ' badoo, badoo, badoo' and before you know it, you are lynched

4.Do not Stay Out Late: I think this is the most important thing in Ikorodu right now, unless absolutely necessary, do not stay out late because the rate at which Ikorodu residents are hungry for badoo blood ehn, you might just be in the wrong place at night.

5. Pray Before You Go Out: Well, I am not a pastor but I will advice each and everyone of us to pray to whatever God we serve before leaving our houses..

MAY WE NOT BE VICTIMS OF UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES.

7 KINDS OF RELATIONSHIPS THAT MAY NEVER LEAD TO MARRIAGE

You know it’s of a truth that not every relationship one goes into would lead to marriage; most relationships would just fizzle out on the surface, why some would last for a while then comes to an end, with some even lasting a pretty long time but still won’t result to marriage. Most times, you might want to get married to your partner, but your partner wouldn’t want to get married to you and that’s another harsh reality. So, how do you know your relationship wouldn’t lead to marriage? What kind of relationships don’t lead to marriage?

1. DESPERATION OR SURVIVAL RELATIONSHIP
This kind of relationship, is type in which one partner is highly desperate for marriage. Such relationship might never lead to marriage because desperation isn’t a good quality. Being desperate would throw you in bad light, show your many flaws and could even make your partner feel edgy about getting married to you. Lot’s of desperate ladies end up not marrying their man.

2. THE SEX ONLY RELATIONSHIP
Lots of relationships out there can be referred to as the ‘s*x only’ kind of relationship. In such a relationship, s*x is the long-term and short-term goal of the relationship. A relationship that’s built solely around s*x might never lead to marriage

3. EXPERIMENTAL RELATIONSHIP
I term relationships that keep going back and forth as experimental relationships. Any relationship without stability might never lead to marriage; if all you and your partner do is breakup today and make-up the next day then it shows a sign of incompatibility or that you haven’t found solutions to your relationship problems. If such a relationship leads to marriage, it wouldn’t fare any better.

4. LIVING TOGETHER WITHOUT FUTURE GOALS
The fact that you are living together with your man is no guarantee that such cohabitation would lead to marriage. If there is no marriage in sight, or talks about it, or at least talks about the future or each other’s long-term goals then you might cohabit for a long time, and it would only end there.

5. VALIDATION RELATIONSHIP
This is the kind of relationship where one of the partners seeks other people’s responses and validation before approving to anything. Such a relationship has the feeling of insecurity around it and might never lead to marriage.

6. RELATIONSHIPS WITHOUT LONG-TERM GOALS
A relationship that’s built for the short-term would probably only last the short-term. In relationships that might lead to marriage, both partners (not one) have each other’s future in mind and care about the long-term future of the relationship. When you and your partner never discuss your long-term goals with each other and think about the relationship’s future then marriage might just be a dream that would never happen.

7. THE PASS TIME RELATIONSHIP
In this kind of relationship, it’s mostly about the s*x, the fun and the pleasure. Couples like this have fun in abundance; but deep down, they both have the feeling that it wouldn’t lead to marriage. Such a relationship lacks the commitment and seriousness to walk down the aisle.

Most of this listed above types of relationship may eventually lead to marriage but will definitely end up as a failed marriage.

WHAT MAKES YOU SNORE

Snoring is a common condition that can affect anyone, although it occurs more frequently in men and people who are overweight.

Snoring has a tendency to worsen with age. Occasional snoring is usually not very serious and is mostly a nuisance for your bed partner.
However, if you are a habitual snorer, you not only disrupt the sleep patterns of those close to you, but you also impair your owns sleep quality.

What makes you Snore?
Snoring occurs when the flow of air through the mouth and nose is physically obstructed. Air flow can be obstructed by a combination of factors, including:

1. Obstructed nasal airways:
Some people snore only during allergy seasons or when they have a sinus infection. Deformities of the nose such as a deviated septum(a structural change in the wall that separates one nostril from the other) or nasal polyps can also cause obstruction.

2. Poor muscle tone in the throat and tongue:
Throat and tongue muscles can be too relaxed, which allows them to collapse and fallback into the airway. This can result from deep sleep, alcohol consumption, or use of some sleeping pills.

3. Bulky throat tissue: Being overweight can cause bulky throat tissue. Also, children with large tonsils and adenoids often snore.

4. Long soft palate and/or uvula:
A long soft palate or a long uvula (the dangling tissue at the back of the mouth) can narrow the opening from the nose to the throat.
When these structures vibrate and bump against one another the airway becomes obstructed, causing snoring.

10 BAD HABITS THAT DAMAGES THE BRAIN

1.No breakfast
This meal is really important the most important in the whole day, but when avoided all the time the blood sugar levels get spiked and low and irregular. After a night of sleep and no eating, you need food. Otherwise the brain gets no nutrients and is easily damaged

2. Lack of good thoughts and stimulations
To think also engages the brain in healthy work. It opens up new pathways and activates every segment of the brain. You have to work the brain all the time, otherwise it shrinks up or gets damaged due to inactivity. Why not working on the skills you might be great at? Learn, talk, think!

3. Rarely talking
Talking makes the brain work and activates it. Engage in intellectual talks as much as you can and boost the health of the brain.

4. Working when ill
We all are in a rush, speeding, having too much things to do. We all work when we are sick, one thing or another. But, this means the body is begging for rest! Give the body some rest!

5. Polluted air
You can’t wear a mask all the time of course, and there is not much you can do with this. The brain needs a lot of oxygen and this polluted air deprives us of it.

6. Covered head during sleep
It sounds weird but we need as much oxygen as we can get during the night, this limits you to breathe in the whole oxygen. Also, you get more carbon dioxide this way!

7. Smoking
The worst of all habits here. It has many side effects but for the brain, it causes shrinkage and dementia related issues like Alzheimer’s.

8. Overeating
This makes you gain weight, be obese, damages the stems in the brain and reduces the mental focus.

9. Too much Sugar
Sadly, there is sugar in everything we eat or drink. You will benefit a lot if you reduce it. For starters you can absorb more nutrients in the absence of sugar and prevent brain issues.

10. No sleep
No sleeping for long periods of time reduces healthy brain cells. Sleep repairs the whole body from the stress and regenerates every cell.

A TRUE SITUATIONAL ANALYSIS OF LIFE

Kindly read through to the end

After Secondary School..Some of our classmates or childhood playmates have gone out of the country, Others have completed universities and are now Doctors, Engineers, Teachers, Pilots, Lawyers, Administrators, etc.

Some have married, Some have given birth, some still single... ...Some are dead, (Don't forget that too) And others are confined in psychiatric homes. Some are doing their masters programme, PHD, etc. Some haven't even gained admission into the tertiary institution.

Some own companies, Some are now Directors and majority shareholders of huge companies. But how do you feel When you meet your classmate, and it seems like he/she has reached his dreams And you're not yet close to yours?
So many thoughts runs through your mind like life is so unfair to you, right? How about the ones you meet on the street wearing dirty rags and have turned nuisance in the society, what of those mentally or physically challenged, the ones in prison nko? How do you see that?

Nevertheless, You must not regret your life. We all are different And our path and time to greatness differs, Some before you, Some after you, But no matter the level you are presently, Please keep trying to break limitations and move further. Celebrate the success of others, its an application for yours.

Your friend buys a car now, Be happy with him/ her. Remember when you get yours,
T@heirs might not be in vogue no more cos a 2000 model Toyota Camry was once regarded as a new millennium car but now an old model nevertheless so many still wish they own one now. Life is not by competition, If not, We all will be born into one type of family, One religion and same in everything.

Let the passion in you never quench the desire and fire in you Keep it burning cos What you pass through today would be the strength you would need tomorrow. There's no height you cannot attain, Just believe, Define your goals and recognize distractions. Spend time to acquire knowledge, Because the things that
Mainly take people to the top Are the things They devoted time to develop.

Don't be intimidated by your fellow's success, The sky is too wide That the birds can fly Without touching themselves.
Value those little things God bless you with cos there are people who crave for it. Appreciate God, For with God, All things are possible.

Now to those who think they are on top,
Never forget to give a helping hand To those who are down. Life is full of uncertainties; The one you pull up today
May be the one to hold your hand To prevent you from falling down. A piece of advice there.

May our friendship grow From strength to strength, From grass to grace, From zero to hero And from Earth to Heaven.

WISH YOU MORE SUCCESS IN THE JOURNEY OF LIFE*
